^ Yeah my Cane Creek came with a cap and starnut. Depending on what I can find at the hardware store I might have to come up with a completely new compression method. My bro and dad do engineering so they could probably come up with something.

Has any1 tried to have a star nut comp with some threaded rod with 2 nuts (tightened & locked into each other) and a 1-1/8 star nut in a broken fork tube, pushed up into your bars?

soz, i hav ent been on lately, shipping was like around a week, little less i think. it wasnt very long at all tho.

im working on making some star nut compression systems to sell, but i dnt like the ide of nuts stuck to a threaded rod so im looking at having some bolts made with hex socket heads

when i get mine im just gonna do the rad hic compression
quite simple and i need new bars anyway so ill just make oversized bars and do the hic compression with it

heres how to build compression the right way:
put a starnut into your bars ( a bit higher than your fortube goes in)
put a snarnut into the top of your forktube
get a bolt that goes into your fortube from the bottom
the bolt should tighten through the starnut thats in the fork and than tighten into the one in your bars, thus compressiong your bars together.
