Does anyone else besides me think grinded welds are a joke?
Either lay some nice beads down or dont make them at all.
The only time welds should ever be grinded is when they are in the way/making room for a fit etc.
YES.

I own SR.
Grinding = weakening. Cory knows whats up. If you have a big sloppy weld that needs to be grinded down just to look good then you obviously don't know how to weld and should not be making parts. Also, if your welds are big and sloppy that is a pretty good sign you are running cold and aren't getting any penetration so by grinding it flush you effectively remove any strength the part might have had.

I personally would not make or ride and parts with ground welds and I can say this from experience.

welds look good IM
but it some places they need to be grinded down, getting crown race's on sr forks for example
but i have never grinded any weld more than it need be. just enough to get crown race over.
as i wouldnt want to sacrafice strength.
