i grind unwaxed, unpainted cement curbs, and it's been wearing down the baseplate thing on my B model so much its about to put a hold in it, and i've only been grinding for three weeks...
it does feel good grinding on the whold base plate instead of those annoying ridges on the side, but it's got about 1/5 of a millimeter to go before its totally gone...

any help?

yeah use wax and y are you so lucky grinding? Im always the kid who catches deep rust on the big rails no one grinds at the skateparks :(

But yeah put some OG rib bones on the scooter and it will slide super smooth and quiet.

Thats what I was doing so i put an aliminium plate underneath my scoot on the side that i grind on most

Coedie probably does not have problems because he goes so fast that special things happen and he also has lots of decks.

I don't recommend those rails. They are not durable. They crack easily and wear faster than the deck and it is something I don't like. I've stopped grinding cement ledges. Or if I grind cement skatespot ledges , I do some only.If you really want , go ahead and get those rails.

I got myself banned.
I haven't heard any problems about those rails wearing away too quick, i never used them before though.

If you wax ledges good though it shouldn't be a problem. I grind shit all the time and my decks are usually good. I usually don't wax up new ledges and wear the cement in myself though, that will eat at your deck. Try to stick to ledges that skaters grind all the time, they are usually slicked up allready and don't wear your deck away.

thanks guys, i'll get some plates for grinding like mat said. I won't wax the curbs, its whenever i ride street, and i found this cool spot where its a curb on a downhill slope, and its soo fun to grind unwaxed, cuz i did like 50 ft grinds, and i dont have the time or the wax to slick it up
