Get that grip. I want to know why to get witch grip. For the record I had raptor scales before and I loved them I might go that way again unless persuaded differently

I was wondering which grip to get, I was trying to decide between raptor tails or raptor scales. I know that this should be in this or that thread, but I kind of wanted a discussion about it.

I prefer tails. They are longer and I feel they mold better to your hand. The thickness is about the same as scales though. The only thing I don't like about the scales is that if my hands get sweaty they get pretty slippery. If you want a longer and more comfortable grip, go with tails. If your hands don't get sweaty and you life the feel of scales, go with the scales.

I've ridden with all three and I think the scales are just a little too thick + like Anton said they can get slippery. The tails are just the tiniest bit thinner which is better (imo) and since they are longer you don't have to worry about them not being long enough and hitting your hands on the metal bars, etc.

I say go with Tails, if they are too long cut them down an inch but you will be glad you got them. They have extra padding but not too much so you will be happy if you had scales before.

Good luck!
