Grips are putting up a hell of a fight...

Alright, so I absolutely CANNOT get my grips to stop throttling. They're brand new (brand new when I got them, and I've been having this problem for the two months that I've had them) and I've tried the following methods:

Putting them on by force
Grip glue
Boiling them
Compressed air
Zip ties
Spray paint

And no matter what, they just keep throttling. BAD. I think the closest I've had to getting them perfect was the spray paint. But even that was only good for maybe a week until they were back to normal, sliding around my bars worse than a supercharged Ferrari in the snow. I think it might just be the grips themselves or the texture of the Scepter crossbar (for anyone who has them, you know what I mean. For anyone that doesn't, it's like a grainy textured powder coat. Same thing that's on aluminum baseball bats) that just inhibits the grips from being able to get a good grasp on the bars. Any help would be appreciated.

use axe body spray. all I ever use and my grips have never moved an inch.

I've already tried grip glue and spray paint, both of which are supposed to cause you to have to cut your grips off because of how well it works. And still my grips move after a day or two. I doubt axe would work. I can put the grips on by hand with just a bit of water :/

It would have been less trouble to save up the money to buy new grips then to make this thread

At least this thread has a point. And it took 2 minutes to make this thread. I'm sorry that I actually write in complete sentences and describe my problem thoroughly unlike 75 percent of people on SR.

Duro all purpose spray adhesive, or 3M spray adhesive. I never have throttle problems now that I use it.

Put it in a cold area after applying.

Jeez, sorry. But I'm just saying that if you tried all that it should work but the grips are probably ruined.

I know but I don't get it because they're still like brand new. They have a different feel than most grips though, they feel more like the rubber soles of shoes than the softer krylon that most grips are made out it. Maybe it's just the grips + bars combo that just doesn't want to stick.

If you get throttling with grip glue, you're doing it wrong. It's a glue, so there is no possible way that your grips can move. Hell, rubber cement that mo' fo' on if you are so strong you're breaking the grip glues bond.

They're Fly Rubens, and I think I might try some of that spray adhesive. No I didn't get grease on my bars lol, I thoroughly clean and dry the inside of the grip and the bars every time I try to re-do them. And yeah I pretty much death grip my bars when I ride, I'm probably gonna have ridiculous arthritis from this shit when I get older lmao.
