Grips

Okay first of all this thread is not for me. I know how to take grips off, its easy, Air compresoor!

This thread is for my friend thoguh. My friend is selling me ODI longnecks. He does not have an aircompressor but he needs to take them off his inwards. How would he go about doing this?

he cannot use my air compressor i live too far away.

He should find a way to lever the grip up from the end just a bit, the spray hairspray underneath it. This acts as a lubricant and helps to slide the grip off the bars. I also do this when I'm putting grips on as the hairspray dries sticky and hold the grips on.

spray a phillips head screwdriver with olive oil, then stick it under the grip so it goes all the way under the grip to the other side, move the screwdriver around the grip so there is oil all over the inside of the grip, then just slip it off.

personally. i pull the grip up a bit a run water down it. than just twist and pull em of. my friend told me the hairspray thing works too

best idea thanks

Yea I forgot to mention I use a flat blade screw-driver to lever the grips up then spray hairspray. When the hairspary dries it acts like a glue so its better to get the grips off fast

roll em off no mess you just roll it off the un roll it so that it doesn't stretch the grips its simple. and why don't you let your friend use your air compressor?
