halfpipe tips

me and my dad are gonna make a halfpipe in the garden which is gonna be 3'-3'6" high and any tips such as 6 or 8 ft flat bottom steepness etc and is painting it with this paint http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....46886&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1570wt_1139 but in a different colour a good idea? any tips will be appreciated.
what thickness ply should i use and should i use hard board if i paint it?? and should i soak the ply to bend it adn should it be treated?

that should help you get your dimensions exactly Like you want.
look around you-tube if you dont understand how to build one. its pretty simple iv build a quarter pipe. the hardest part is the actually curve or ark of the ramp. so make sure you understand how to draw it out, easiest way is with a nailed 2 by 4 to the plywood your tracing with string and a sharpie

so u curve the ramp with sharpie and then cut that out?

thanks im looking at them and there are loads of plans on that site. i might take some advice from the site but for the flat bottom im using lots of 4' peices as i got loads of cheap wood but its not all 8' eg.
