Anyone listen to Gallows? Theyre more like british street punk, but theyre considered hardcore too. The album Grey Britain was amazing.

I think of the Fall of Troy when I think hardcore but that's just because they're my favorite band haha... I think hardcore better describes really hard punk rock type stuff, rather than the generic pop-punk metal shit bands these days, coughattackattckcoughadaytoremembercough.

Thats exactly what it is. Real harcore is hardcore punk. It started with bands like agnostic front (probably one of the most well known, older examples). Hardcore lost its meaning because of all these new styles that just kind of adopt words like "hardcore" so describe them, even though it was already a genre. Like mentioned earlier, its the difference between real hardcore, and post-hardcore, metalcore, etc.

Anyone listen the band Paint it Black? I know Heps into them.
