headset coming loose

i just got a red scs with a cheap cane creek headset and it keeps coming loose is there any way to make it stay tight i have cranked the living hell out of the bolts?

you have an scs but are you actually running the compression part of it correctly?

ya the starnut is in the fork the compression bolt is tiight and so are all the clamp bolts

u need a headset spacer
i had to use one with mine
or cut down ur forktube 1/4 inch

i have two headset spacers in there almost a half in off them

I have a french iD fork and my scs works fine, no spacer or cutting was needed

Did you a line or h/e you spell it. Did you a line your headset and that shim thing. Thats what happened to my friends and it kept wobbling. But he fixed it by taking everything out and putting it back in.

your headset is the wrong size. at least thats what it sounds like. if your headset isn't the right size then it will wobble to all hell

Dumb question but do you have a pinchring in the headset?

its 1 1/8 and its tight for a little bit then gets loose and yes i have the pinch rig in

locktite the bolt that runs into the starnut.. just try it
it could work
