headset help

yeah so i have my stock headset on until i get my new one in like 2 weeks or so and the big nut that is supposed to keep the thing that covers the bearings keeps coming loose

but i tightened the thing that covers the bearings and the nut really tightly together and when it comes loose it all moves as one piece insted of two. this might be confusing to understand but if you do understand what im trying to say please help

yeah but that wouldnt stop the whole thing from moving. it would hold the 2 pieces together but it would still move all as one piece

Tighten it a real lot to where it cant spin that great and, let it wear itself in, it should work give it a try.

just tighten it till it doesnt shake and break it in

u have to get the bottom one to the place where u want it and then tighten the top one really tight to the bottom one and then it should stay ok. i just know it works with fsa bottom cup it might not work with complete stock.

thread lock helps a great deal

get a tube of lock tite. and put it on the inside of the nut.

your threads might be gone so you might need a new fork thats what happened to me.

or bolt, but if not deffonatly use loctite/threadlock, it stops bolts from coming loose
