headset without compression system.

do you think with the locking collar, you wouldn't need a compression system?
the headset is by solid, and you can find it on danscomp.
 
what you could do is put it on your scooter dont tighten the bolt yet, have a starnut in your fork, put a hic shim over your fork tighten, then tighten that, then take the shim off and put standered bars on if you have standered bars
 
if you got the headset compressed then i guess you wouldnt, like maybe get an ics kit then get the headset compressed then take out the bolt.
 
there is nothin wrong with compression but say you need a new headset so you get this one, and later on you want to go from ics to hic well this will be easyer to use than ics, untill you get oversized bars

HIC Bars normally come with compression. so.. if you can afford a new headset, surely you can get bars.

I think without having something physically keeping the headset compressed, it would loosen up every couple minutes. And a tiny little singly clamp surely isn't going to be enough to keep your bearings compressed to the point that a normal compression system would.
