Help! Avchd videos dont work on mac.

Anyone have a mac that uses a jvc everio? My family just got a mac and none of my files work on it. What software should I use??

Final cut pro X. Get it, it's what I use (or, well, would be using if I got off my lazy ass and made a video). It's really good and you can edit AVCHD clips with it. Idk if I'll get in trouble for this recommendation but I would get a torrent for it.

Don't tell him to get it illegally, but yes Final Cut works with AVCHD.

if u have a mac, why not use iMovie? its free and it works with a jvc everio since thats what i'm doing.
