help with a backflip

it's probably a long shot if you can find something like a gymnastics/highjump mat. pretty much anything thats big, thick and you can't feel the ground on. if you've already found something you like the look of, try jumping as high as you can an landing on it. if you don't smack your ass on the ground it will be excellent. also by big i mean long and wide enough so you don't really have to anticipate landing zones. make sure it's close to the coping BUT NOT TOO CLOSE. you're trying a backflip, not a frontflip so you dont want to hit it. lastly (this it what took some of my friends AGES to get thru their thick heads), COMMIT,COMMIT,COMMIT. i can't stress it enough. if you're going to backflip FUCKIN DO IT and don't pussy out. really, once you get over the shock of the size of the risk you're taking, it's really kinda fun! just take 1 or 2 practise jumps then just go for it. it's actually instinct that your body will always know what to do in the rare event that something does go wrong, so don't sweat it! 1 last thing, HELMET!!!!! something may go wrong, be prepared:)

if tryed to teach kids backflips on trampolines andd they dont COMMITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. when i first tryed flips it was into foam and i commited on my first try so it came around perfect if you can backflip on a tramp apply that to your scooter and COMMITE that is the most important thing. it will be worse if you dont commite. they will come around if you commite trust me

It seriously helps if you can backflip a trampoline or something like that first.
Mattresses, and dont let go. DONT let go, like really dude, dont. Commit to going straight over backwards and dont pussy out, the only way you can get hurt on backflips is pussying out.
Just keep rotating.

you gotta commit every one thinks they are gonna do it by landing on there backs and getting further. i did that too you gotta just lean back . i went upside side down at first and got more confident and got the full rotation it is scary at first but after 2 or 3 youll love it

so im gonna try a backflip with no foem pit

what should i need spooters? pillow?
and how do you get the rotation fast?

dude all you need is about 2-4 spotters and try it out of a 5-6 foot flyout and when you go get speed and tuck your body a lil and lean back hard and dont let go of your scooter or else you will hit one of the spotters and commit so you dont land on your head

i was trying flips yesterday for the first time never tried into foam, with spotters and the first time i landed on my head it sucks cause its hard for the spotters to catch you, then i just grew some balls and hucked one i almost had them and the spotters thought i would land it so they didnt catch me and i over rotated and my scooter slipped out and feel on my ass and bruised my tail bone (it hurt!) so make sure when you do them you have good spotters and you put a pillow in your pants ;) and when you hit the ramp just trow your head back as hard as you can and just follow through with it, heres some of my attempts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xW_Dmu9Pc2o
