Help with halfpipe

So I'm trying to get my school to get a halfpipe outside it and they seem alright with it. I'm just wondering if I should get them to buy one somehow or if I should get them to pay for the supplies and then me and some people could build it? What would be better, and do you know what like 8ft halfpipe would cost?

if it only costs 60 dollars to make an 8 foot long foot and a half high grind box how would it be a thousand to make this?

an 8 foot half pipe could cost a couple grand and nick there are alot of things your not seeing, on a halfpipe you have to use about.... 8 foot one maybe 50 or more sheets of plywood because you have to make it double layered. then about 100-200 2x4s then coping, and if its really going to last skatelite which is 180 per 4ft by 8 ft sheet so then about 25 sheets of skatelite add it up $4,500 just for the cover skatelite... it could cost up to 10 grand or more if its going to last more than 5 years
dang arnor i didnt know you made this post, halfpipes are really expensive bro i made 3 before the last one i made costed 750 dollors and it was 3 foot high and it didnt have skatelite with 1 layer of top plywood it only lasted 1 year about:/
honestly maybe use a fund raiser or something but maybe buy a preowned one... and 5- or 6 foot would be better for tricks and stalls honestly

not really masonite wont last at all outdoors, and mosture will rewin it unless you have the expensive type which still wont be that much better
