HIC problem with new deck...

Got a district integrated deck. The headtube is significantly longer than my old deck. I have lucky SMX forks, FSA Impact headset, and a RAD hic or something. The problem is the my shim is too long/ forks are too short for the socket head screw I have, and an m6 35mm screw is like $15 just for a screw. Should I get a different shim? If so, what kind?

Go to the hardware store. They should be able to help you out. Just bring your scooter in and try to figure it out. They never really care if you bring it in there.

I did and they dont carry the screw i need. Know of any shorter shims? Would it be bad to cut a centimeter off of my shim?

where are you located?
the only place I could find the M6 socket cap bolts was at Lowes- couple bux
Home Depot and Ace did not stock metric.

I went to Lowes and they dont sell the length i need. So I have to order one somewhere else but theyre crazy expensive for just a screw. I think i'll just cut my shim.
