HIC quesion with MGP

Hi guys!

I am goinng to be using HIC compression when i get my new threadless forks ect, b8ut i have a few questions.

With the HIC shim, because the fortube will be longer on the MGP's, would i need a longer shim too, or would a normal size shim work? Im thinking i would need a bigger (longer) shim.

If so, where do i get a longer one from?

u could just cut apart some old bars that would probly work too

That^ if you have old/bent/dead one pieces lying around cut the downtube and make ya own HIC shim.

Yeah i had to make a longer one for mine, but it's totally worth it, because it re-enforces your bars, because there longer and what not.

Im still not fully sure whether im gonna go Threadless or not yet, I probably will when i get the money... But im sure this has cleared some other people questions up too.

you need a shim that's an inch longer than the regular one, which is i think two inches. you'll need a three inch shim. you can use old bars, or contact TSI or another company to possibly make and sell you one.

jus cut the fork tube 1 inch
