Oh, maybe it's just a shitty shim. It IS Kota. But still...tight clamp = bars no move. It's your clamp, especially if you have the same problem with 3 different caps.

Well fucknuggets, that is an issue because I am basically broke as shit and a good clamp is what, 30-40 bucks?

Okay, there are MANY ways to solve this...
1. Soda can shim
2. Make sure your cap is aligned with your shim, and no overlapping on one side.
3. Grease your bolts!
4. Get a bigger Allen key (more leverage) or get an adjustable wrench to get leverage on your little pussy 5mm key.
5. Tighten LITTLE BY LITTLE. no exceptions.
6. Make sure your shim slits are aligned with your bar slits.

I got the hic clamp from scooterzone and its SOOO good i mean its kinda expensize but its totaly worth it before my bars slipped abit buy now my scooter is sooo dialed and nothing becomes loose

Clamps shouldn't make that noise when you tighten it. Grease the crap out of your bolts on the clamp and crank down on it, don't be scared of breaking it. According to lucky, cane creek top caps are "too big". If that's true, maybe that's what's stopping the bars from clamping to the shim properly.

dude,it's a thing with sz clamps thy all make that noise when you tightn thm.. i fixed this one kids bars at the park a day or so ago and when i tightened his clamp t make a loud ass creek i was like "dude what the fuck is up with your clamp?" hes like "idk man it always did that.." and bennet idk what to fuckking say bro that is some weird shit... like wtf it shouldnt turn like that if the clamp is all the way tightened lol

But just go to any bike shop and ask for grease. Not for chains, just tell them it's for bolts. With grease, you can tighten your clamp a hell of a lot tighter.
