I never ran hic, so I don't know how tightly the shim actually goes in there. Is there alot of resistance when you put the bars on? Let me know because I have a few ideas but it depends just how stuck it really is.

I got myself banned.
if the shim is on ur fork take the top cup off and twist it of if the shim is in ur bars take a flat and lean it against the bars to get the shim out a lil then twsit it out

Hmm, that leaves out some possibilities. Maybe try sticking an allen wrench inside so that the 90 degree short piece goes in first and try hooking on the edge of the shim and see if you can pull it out? I dunno, that's all I got is finding something with a 90 degree angle on that end that will allow you to grip it a little.

he was thinking of pushing it up into your bars and getting a new shim or cutting the bars to work with scs thats what i wouldve done

my starnut never broke my my hic has gotten stuck in the bars. if the slit in the hic is lined up with the slit in the bars there should be a little notch where you can stick a really small allen wrench in and push them down out of the bars. once the hic is sticking out of the bars a bit, get pliers or vice grips and clamp them to the hic and pull it the rest of the way out. thats if you have rad bars, idk if you do. tip: whenever you take your bars off, always twist to the right because the hic is so tight on the bars that if you turn the bars left, you will just unscrew you headset bolt and the hic will still be in the bars when you get it off the fork. ik thats not your problem, but just sayin incase you haven't had them long.

yea i know how to get them off and stuff. and i got a really slim screwdriver and bent in the shim and like dug in to it with a larger screwdriver and started to push it up. i got it out and its extremely messes up. im still riding it though haha.
