Higher Hops?

actually strength has a lot to do with hops. Have you ever seen how high a football player jumps when jumping for a ball, or a basketball player jumps when dunking or blocking? Thats cause they train and build up their legs for that.
But back to scooters, doing what those guys ^^ do would help, but you really just need to have technique with it too, and know when to jump at the right time so that when your jumping over the obstacle your at your peeking point.
My sugestion would be just to practice, but if you want to be extreme work your legs and set a goal for height jumping every day.

Or just change your name to georgie lewis that guy has hops.

I actually feel like I can get more leverage on the back wheel and hop higher with taller bars. Went from riding my 21 tall bars with ICS, switched to SCS with the same bars for 23 tall, and it made such a difference.

realy there are two things
1-you're hight,a person who is 5 foot wont hop as high as a person who his 6 foot simple
2-technique hop like on a bike front wheel then back wheel georgie louis and matt mckeen are perfect examples you dont see them doing those stupid two wheel hop things

Super queer.
i really dont think bronco hops and bunny hops make a difference on scooters. bikes you have to jump like that. cause you get higher. scooters you can jjust lift up all the way. scooters are not bikes guys, ride your scooter like a scooter.

Arm strength + Leg strength = Higher hops.

When you jump it's two steps:
1. Jump as high as you can using your legs.
2. Pull up on your bars as far as you can using your arms (while also bringing your knees to your chest).

So doing pushups and doing plyometrics (jump training) will help your hops. I would say generally work out your shoulders, triceps, and legs to get better hops. Also, practicing jumping over stuff helps too. Maybe you can even try flying out of a bank over stuff if that helps you because it's pretty intimidating just rolling up to a traffic cone or whatever going fast enough to try and hop over it. Just practice really and find what works for you.

About Mckeen, notice how he pulls up pretty late in his hops? Well there ya go.

not true dude, before i hit my growth spurt i was the smaller guy but i was 2nd in districts for high jump. I think its mostly about coordination and strength. height has a difference only if you let it. And really it just depends on the person.
