-What are the exact size tubing? pg. 14 in Super Modding Thread
-Can you take them to a welder? yes
-What website can i get the tubing from? pg.14 in Super Modding Thread
pg 14 in the Super Modding Thread tells you EVERYTHING you need to know to make them.......i just ordered the metal off www.onlinemetals.com, for my homemade one pieces, and they are getting welded within a weak.

(Bars)
Measure your height you ride your bars, and add 1" to compensate for the materials lost in fitting.
then order a long tube of 1/16" 4130 chrome-moly in your height with that extra 1" added on.

(Inside diameter of the bars is 1 & 1/8")
(Outside diameter is 1 & 3/16")

(Crossbar)
Find your width your comfortable with, and order the same material, 4130 chrome-moly

(Inside diameter 11/16")
(Outside diameter 3/4")

For fitting it you may want to go to a shop to have to top of your bars ground out to fit your crossbar because the equipment for that can cost quite alot.

And yeah if you take it to a weld shop they will most definitely be able to, but ask them if they are going to tig weld it before you give the parts to them, if they want to mig it then get the hell out of there and find another shop haha.

If you plan on doing the welding yourself, use the TIG process, DC- Red tungsten of course, and run at about 75-80 amps with straight argon at about 20 CFH. you may use steel filler if you cant weld it without filler.

Make sure you clean and wirewheel the parts to be welded to get it as clean as you can.
(Dont even think about arc welding or welding MIG on it, thats punishable by death if i ever get to see your bars like that lol)

you can make a good lightweight and strong pair of bars like that, they could always be better with heat treatment before and after welding with chromo filler, but they will not break if you did them right, thats for damn sure.

i have a question for whoever can answer it.........when Radtke says, " make sure they tig weld it, not mig weld it, or get the hell out of there".....i'm bout to get my bars welded soon, and what's the difference from mig welding vs tig welding???
