Homemade flexy idea.

My friend showed me this. He did it and said it works pretty good.

Take an old pro deck and cut a strip out of the bottom. If its an old pro deck with the reinforced strip down the center, just cut out a segment of that. Drill the hole to mount it, and then just bend it to fit your wheel.

Its a good, simple idea and gives people a use for old broken decks.

What does that tell us about Razor's quality if it bends that easy?

Good idea though. Between me and tanner we have like 5 dead pro decks that are waiting for a use.

its alu, i did it, it broke :( id rather make a tramp scooter with a broken deck

Thats why Im making it out of the thicker strip from the bottom. Its aluminum, but so is a switchblade, but this is thicker than a switchblade.
I just snapped my switchblade so Im gonna give this a try.

It worked as a flexy. But it eventually bent towards the wheel and stayed there.
i only made it as a test

i used to do this. i made prolly like thirty. i figured it out to get four from each deck, then i sold them to little kids and made a bit of a profit. Dont use aluminum anymore, i use scrap steel whenever i break my brakes and need a new one, the pro deck brakes always bend forward.

So about how long did these last you?
Do you think this would be alright to hold me over until I order a new switchblade or something?

Haha, thanks guys. I didnt mess around with it, I wanted it to actually be a legit flexy. I took my time and bent it slowly and little bits at a time, so it didnt put a lot of stress on it at once. I filed the shit out of it too so it wont chew up my wheel or anything.

Yeah thats the one thing I wish I didnt do. I wasnt sure how far up to go before starting to curve it to the wheel. But Im pretty satisfied with this being the first one Ive made. I just hope it holds up alright.

I just cruised around in my driveway. It felt smooth like a switchblade. Im getting my wisdom teeth taken out on thursday, and tomorrows my girlfriends birthday, so I wont really be able to test it for about a week.
