Hahaha. I honestly can say he was the best set (hyping the crowd up, and his music selection choice) I have ever seen. Zedd was also very good, because it was outside and raining, which made it 20 times better.

I saw Tiesto on Friday, and let me tell you that you have got to see him live before you die. It was AMAZING. I dont know how UPenn was able to book him, but I thank god that they did. Also Passion Pit opened up for him and they were actually pretty good.

What defines the differences between house, electro house, prog house and all the others? Like drum and bass is electro music with the emphasis on the drums and bass obvoiusly; but there seems to be no common theme from listening to knife party, zedd, porter, deadmau5 or any of them.

theres a pretty big differnce first of all the tempo the bpm and the DJ tools they use i can tell the difference between all the sub genres and tell what artists made the song 99% of the time.

There's a shitload of subgenres actually. The latest one and most trendy is complextro house: Knife Party, Skrillex, Lazy Rich, Porter Robinson, etc. Its distinctive feature is using many different samples and synthesized sounds in one song. They quickly change one another so the listener gets that 'complex' feeling.
