threaded forks r weaker cause u have to cut into them to make the threads, but threadless forks require a threadless bmx headset and a compression system so they stay straight with the bars
threaded:
+better than a stock fork
+harder to bend
+looks super gnar
+cheaper
-they're weaker because the bars have better grip on a place on the fork which creates more stress on the fork.
threadless:
+ very strong
+best fork you can buy as of right now
+looks supergnar
+dont have to screw on
+lasts forever if you reinforce
-cost more
-requires a comprehension system
-requires a 1 1/8th threadless headset.
i don't like all the fuss involved int the compresion, system last time mine got stuck and i had to cut my bars in half but now my new 2 peice proto bars will be done soon then i will risk it again
