take it back off and clean your headset out.

Whats a headset and why would i need to clean it? Also is there anything i should loosen so i can get easier rotation for tailwhips and stuff?

haha im gonna make that my sig...

The head set is the bearings that make your bars turn. you have to loosten the two nuts on the threaded pole to make it turn easier. underneath the nuts are the headset bearings.

i really hope the rest of the scooter community doesnt have ADD.....if the majority of riders are this special our sport wont go anywhere but 6 feet under.

holy shit ive only been scooterin for like a month i dont know what any of this stuff is its not my fault. you guys can talk as much shit but i know you were like me once too.
so how do you loosen the headset? i cant tell if you guys are joking or not

I got myself banned.
take your bars off, by loosening the double clamp and just pull the bars off

then youll see those two nuts no homo, you loosen the top one first so theres some room to loosen the other one, then loosen the bottom one until it spins like you want but the fork doesnt wobble, then tighten the top nut down on that one but make sure the bottom one doesnt get tightened

i hope that made sense

There are threads coming out of the tob of the headtube that you put your bars on. That's the fork tube. On the bottom and top of the head tube there are two cup things with rigns of ball bearings in them. They are your headset. On the top part where the fork tube sticks out, there is a spacer over the headset. The actual headset you need to clean is like a wide ring and the very top is small and like a hexagon. You want that part to be as loose as it can be on the fork without the fork tube wobbling and/or moving up and down. One you find the "sweet spot," tighten the spacer on top of it, but don't move the headset. Then put your bars on.

Idk why they are sayin to clean your headset when you just got it, maybe with the new bars metal shavings get in it when you tighten them and they become threaded
edit- damn you and your simplicity Chris!

It doesn't matter if your ride scooters or bikes or motorcycles or nothing at all or played with Erector Set, Legos or K'Nex when you were growing up. It is simple nuts and bolts not rocket science.
