If u use scs then i dont think its really hard. But your bottom bearings in the cup, the slide your fork, then upper bearings and the headset stuff, then slide the spacer and slide on your scs and tight the starnut and ur done.
Sorry for bad english

step1 put your forks on as ussual
step2 but before you put the lock nut on put the spacer on
step3 then put the lock nut on
easy :)

Ok this is gunna sound REALLY nooby but i just wanna be sure.
Is the locknut the bit that you screw onto the forks.
and which one coz there is two on mine?
like there's the one with the ring , and then theres the one with just the one nut thing.
im real confused.

Because with the forks the thread doesnt go all the way down to the bottom of the headtube.
so i need the headtube extender so it tightens.
i just cant seem to get it on properly

ok ur gonna need a threadless top cup cause the reason for the spacer is so the lock nut has some thread to go onto insteed of having no thread at the bottom so get a threadless top headset then ul notice theres no nut with the ring on it then put the headset spacer over the top headset then put ur locknut over that il try find a pic if i can haha

the difference between thread/less headsets is that the top cup is threaded (stock pro/mgp) or thread less. try a bike shop thats where i got mine. once u have one just put everything on the head tube, put on the thread less top cap (instead of the old one), put on the spacer, and then the lock nut.

this should help:

That pic wont help because he cant screw his nut on before the spacer because there is nothing to screw it onto! He has to somehow have a spacer on before he screws his uts on, so he has threads to screw his nuts onto!

I dont know how to do it, but a lot of people on here do.

-get a threadless top cap.
-put ur forks on.
-put the top cap on.
-then put the spacers on.
-screw the lock nut on.
-put ur bars on
DONE
