Well great!!....I have heard this type of stuff about Proto before but didnt realize they were that bad. If thats the case, i have no respect for a company who does business like that.
I try to handle things professionally and dont go posting things about manufacturing defects on forums until i talk to the company. But if i am dealing with a company that does business like this, i guess i will have to handle things differently. I guess i will have to post pictures and make threads all over the internet until they do something about it.
So for those wondering...i just spent $250 on a brand new Proto Orion combo and the holes for the brake are drilled in the wrong spot and the brake doesnt fit, it rubs the wheel all the way up.....bad.
There is no easy fix for this since the brake mounting holes are off about 3/16" and there is no good way to drill new holes because they would be too close to the other holes. Plus the whole point is that i shouldnt have to hack up, drill holes, and cobble shit up on brand new deck.
I guess if Proto wants to do business like this, i will be handling this in a much different way...they arent dealing with some kid here who cant do anything about it...they are dealing with a 29 man who runs a sucessful welding business. I have the time/money to take this as far as needed.
It really pisses me off that there are companys out there that do business like this!
