How do you clean an FSA pig unsealed headset?

I am sorry if this is already a thread but my headset is black, literally. Its really black and i really need to clean it. If you can tell me how to clean it that would be nice. I am not sure if its the same as cleaning a stock headset like the one on whip scooters? because it has most of the parts but i am not sure. so please help me out.

first, carefully remove the headset from the neck. soak the parts in rubbing alcohol, then thoroughly wipe them with a rag. then spray some wd-40 on em, let it sit, then whipe that off (u may need to use a little more alcohol). after thats all off and the parts are clean, apply oil or grease to the appropriate places and reinstall the headset.

the whip scooters instructions are good.

*tip, use an old (or someone else's) toothbrush to scrub & clean, dont use it on your teeth again tho.

First , open your headset. You may want to put some newspaper / cloth on the floor / the thing you are working on so you don't dirty it. Take out the cages with the balls in them and drop them in rubbing alcohol. Just leave them in there for a few minutes.

Meanwhile , while you wait for them to get soaked with alcohol for the grease / residue to slowly break down , take a cloth / kitchen towel and put some alcohol on it and then use it to clean the cups and everything. This makes the headset shine a little bit on so that it feels nicer cleaning them. Feels like you're doing a good job I guess.

Pop out the balls and then use a kitchen towel / cloth with some alcohol on it and clean each ball individually. Also , clean the cage individually too. There may be small gaps in the cage where there are left over grease in them. If you want , use a brush and brush everything in there out.

Then , use a dry kitchen towel and wipe everything as dry as possible. Put the balls back in the cage and put everything back together. Don't forget to add some lubricants in there though. Grease / oil works fine.

This is how I do it. You don't have to follow my method.

Optional : buy 24seven headset balls! Made of ceramic which increases the performance of your headset! Stronger and faster. I will bump the thread for you to see.

ummm mat you never want to spray wd40 on anything it attracts dirt not keep it away

yea that would suck if you cleaned your headset super good then got it all dirty again with WD40

Lol yep I am. Of course I am and I am because it is good. After my time and efforts to get all these stuff , I really don't make any profit. Shipping from China to America / Europe is cheap. Cheaper than shipping from online skate shops because I don't make profits from shipping too.
