how do you install a starnut into a frid fork?

There IS threads about this.
any way... There's different ways to do this.
One is just to take the little screw in the top cap and screw it into the starnut. Then take a hammer and swagger on the top of the screw into the fork. Easiest way is if you have an inverted compression bolt, then just screw the starnut down to the fork from the bottom.

I just cut the flanges a bit longer. Only cut the gap between every second flange. I then squeezed the starnut a bit in a vice to make it easier.

i think he meant to file down the edges of the flanges on the starnut so that it is easier to slide it in. but if you dont really know what you are doing, then take is to your local bike shop. they may install it for free

Get a star nut that they use in 1" forks, that'll work perfectly.
ive always wondered if that would work. do you know if it only works for the .120 wall forks or does it work for .083 too?

i made a headlock instead

this is how i made it you get your ics bolt and cap you put that thru the fork then you get a headset cap and a m6 nut put it on and bam headlock
