how good is "good"?

how good do you have to be to be considered "good"? like what trick should you be able to do etc. i know scootering is about fun and all that but i was just wondering.

well tricks doesnt mean everything, you could do some great tricks but only ever land them once. consistancy, style and tricks all need to be counted for

i dont think its pointless, its not asking a stupid question or anything...

like ollie said, good has very little to do wiht JUST the tricks...it does to an extent, because i good rider isnt someone who has tailwhips, barspins, and 360s consistant. a rider who can do impressive tricks clean and consistantly is good. Also i tink progression ties in to it, like you can tell a rider not necessarily is great, but has a lot of conrtol of his scooter and is really in tune with it when they progress fast. i talk about this to levon and other people sometimes. like a rider who has barspins, tailwhips, and 360s all dialed that can learn 360 whip to bars without too much trouble is good on a scooter. period. when it gets to the point where your not learning a whole new trick but just piecing it together with little things you already know, it shows that you really know how to ride, and that you can easily adapt and link things. not to be conceited but i think that since i learned backflips, frontflips and flairs didnt seem like anything that incredibly hard to me anymore, it shows that i am pretty in tune with my scooter in that once i got over the fear of being upside down with it, pretty much any other upside down trick didnt seem like a huge challenge, and i use a lot of the same concepts in the different tricks, a ton of parts of backflips go into flairs, and even frontflips. basically i think a rider who can learn a new trick easily becuase they already know their scooter is good. assuming they land it clean :)

exactly what I would have said....to the word..hehe, progression and consistancy are the things that make you a good rider...to me anyway

Here's a tip... just ride for yourself and dont worry about what other people consider you... just prove that you love to ride and that being "good" doesnt matter... most of the true riders I know are happy with just a tailwhip over a 2 foot spine, aslong as they have fun doing it. And also, dont make dumb threads like this...

triplewhips.

i think if you can land tripwhips, you should be pretty decent, and at that point should be able to do most other tricks, like 360 whips, lil barspin tailwhip manual combos, and cool stuff.

u need no leggers, and packages in ur trick list to be good!!

Nah man..
Ride for u self,at ur own rate and create ur own tricks, lines and style!
Thats my outlook on riding!
