alright there might be a thread on this, but i just wanna do this for everyone who has questions. sorry, no pics. anyway it's very self-explanitory, but i wanna make a tut anyway.
MATERIALS:
-duct tape/some sort of other tape (depending on wheels; i did a lowpro so i needed some)
-hot glue gun
-A LOT OF HOT GLUE
-wheels
-newspaper/anything else to glue on
HOW TO DO IT:
1. take your duct tape/some sort of other tape (if you need it; it's much easier) and cover one side of your core so nothing goes out the other side.
2. after your glue-gun is hot and ready to glue, just glue and fill all the holes.
3. wait like 10 min to make sure it is completely dry.
4. peel the duct tape off.
WARNING ABOUT USING TAPE: THE GLUE ON THAT SIDE WILL TURN WHITE WHEN YOU PEEL IT OFF SO OTHERWISE DON'T USE TAPE.
5. let for the white stuff to dry out a little more so it isn't sticky. then, put your wheels on and enjoy them.
PROS/CONS ABOUT HOT-GLUED WHEELS:
PROS:
-stronger/last longer
-solid
-no spokes
-wheels won't ovalize
PRO/CON: looks ghetto if done not supa clean? i guess?
CONS:
-heavy
-i dont know of many cons besides it being glue, not metal. THEY WONT LAST FOREVER OBVIOUSLY.
-if you dont do it well, then the glue might get in the bearing hole (read below for more about this)
Tanner %-6 (sorry i didn't post in scooter mod super thread)
EDIT: electrical tape works better and cover the otherside once done gluing for a smoother look.
VIDEO VERSION THANKS TO JONDOGG; HERE IS THE LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PhvwCv2CZU
ALSO BE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT GET IN THE BEARING HOLES BECAUSE APPARENTLY I DID THAT SO I NEED TO CLEAN IT UP. the way you can clean it up is ripping the glue off from the inside, or re-gluing... so yeah be careful!
