How to install a starnut into your forks?

How do you install a starnut into your forks, for the proto scs brass knuckles?

well, i've never had threadless so i dont know how to do it.

Position the fork in a vice
Put the starnut in
Put a socket around the center of the star nut
hit socket with mallet/hammer

You could buy your threadless fork from Inward. They wil install the starnut for you. You van also look at http://www.inward-scooters.com/Frequent_Questions.php. There is a description on how to make your own tool to do this right.

Yep, tap it in until all of the little fingers are in the tube.

^ I don't understand how your name is MarkM when my old sr name used to be markm, But on a more serious note just hammer it in nice and steady with a socket or something around it or take it to a bike shop.

you can't take it out. hammer it in further so it's out of the way then take it to a bikeshop and have them do it
