some kind of compression, (inverted, scs, seat clamp (sketchy))
Threadless headset
Threadless fork
Tools:
5mm allen key, maybe 6mm
maybe a wrench if the stock headset locknut is tight
hammer and screwdriver,pole with a larger out diameter than fork but smaller out diameter than fork race.Two bolcks of wood and a rag.
step 1: Remove bars
step 2: Undo locknut and headset nut
step 3: Remove fork and headset bearings
step 4: Take the screwdriver and place through the top of the headtube and rest on the edge of the bottom headset cup. Take the hammer and hit it evenly around the edge to remove it. Turn the deck upside down and repeat for top cup.
step 5: Take aftermarket cups, blocks of wood, rag and hammer. Place one block of wood and place it under the bottom of the headtube. Rest top cup onto the top of the headtube, place the rag over it and the wood over that. Take the hammer and slowly hit it in evenly around the cup. Repeat for bottom cup.
Step 6: Put the bearings in the cup.
step 7: Take the aftermarket race and slide it over the fork. Take the hammer and pole/screwdriver and hit the race evenly on ensuring its all the way down.
Step 8 (optional): If using the scs or inverted compression, install the starnut now.
Step 9: Slide the fork into the headtube and set up the type of compression.
Step 10: Assemble scooter and ensure all bolts are tight.
Step 11: Put front wheel in and tighten.
Step 12: Ride and enjoy
