How to make "1-piece" 4130 Chromoly Bars (Updated! 5/3/09)

Ok, noob questions here ...
Can i use pipe with a 1.250 OD and 0.065 WT? (i don't no my maths ...)
I think its like 0.005 to thick, should it matter? (i don't know inches either)
And would 1.375 OD with a 0.188 be to thick?

Uh I really have no clue dude, I'm gone. Just subtract the wall from the OD to get the ID, which should be 0.12 0/5

You should get 0.058" insted of the 0.065" if you want fork tubes to go past the slit in the steering colum.

Try muffler/auto shop metal work shop look it up in ur phone book or google it?
