how to make and use a bearing press (with pics )

(-_(-_(-_-)_-)_-)

ok, now that that's out of the way, here we go.

what it looks like and what you need to make one of your own.

make sure to line the bearings up or your wheel might break. this is really handy so you don't have to deal with that annoying spacer, you just thread it on between the washer. make sure to thread on a bearing and the spacer, put it thru the wheel, then put the other bearing and washers on the the bolt.

i just made one of these today and it's nice because i dunno i just like it.

enjoy.

Real men stomp on their wheels haha. If I had some real bearing that were expensive I would probably do that, but I have plenty of stock ones so I could care less.

Yeah actually I only have to kick 'em sometimes when it's a weird wheel, maybe you have weird wheels? And my spacers are always sliding around.

Nice quote in your sig Jonny haha.

thats the most complex beariing press ive ever seen. its a waste of time.
my skatepark has one that you just put the wheel and bearings on it
then push the lever and it pushes them in

ummmmm....... or take one hand and one bearing...... put the bearing in the wheel......just as hassle free but quicker cus you dont need a vice, a m8 bolt (pre set up to do this) or a tonne of new bearings when you over tighten the bolt and the bearing pops...... though if i were still using plastic core wheels or if my metal core's were scratched i'd use this method though so pretti kl overall lol......

my friend, who saw this thread when we were checking some other threads i wanted to show, he said although it's a waste of time and waste of brains.

Just use your hands to get the bearings in.

werd. why do this when you could get use ur hands or smack the wheels against the ground. no offence, good idea, but i think the old-fashioned way is easier

Who knows, maybe he thinks smacking things against the ground is a stone age method so he uses a 'bearing press'?

or you could use your thumb until you cant anymore and use and old skateboard truck with no wheels? much easier, less time spent. just my opinion

The skateboard truck method is the most advanced way I've ever put bearings in, but that was on a skateboard. In the chatbox Stan I think posted something like that but for headsets. That would actually make sense because you can't use your hands to push them in, unless you're super strong.

no offense but there is no need for using that on wheel bearings. i just push mine in with my fingers. .... i made a cup press for my headset so i dont have to sit there and bang them in with a rubber hammer.

i was jes messing arond. no i'm not weak madis and i could probably kick your ass, ask my friends how tall i am, last time i checked i was about 6 feet or so. nah those aint my wheels either and you dont need a vice i just put the thing on the vice to take a pic.
