How wide should my bars be?

Im thirteen and tallish,im making a cross bar thing for my stock jd bug how long do you reccomend?And can you mod the bars in any way yo make them less wobbly

uhm, whatever you feel comfortable with. look at pros, raymond warner, 15 wide.. ryan williams 20-22 wide i think. im 14 and i feel comfortable with 18. my friends 15 and rides 16.

if you're used to stock width don't go wider than 17. once you get used to that and want to try wider go up to like 20. but you probably will stick with 17 because its amazing

yea i went from stock to 18, it was really wierd, but youll get used to it

Same with me, but I also added about 3 extra inches to the height as well!

I went from stock, to 16, to 18, fiddled with 20, then found my perfect width at 17.
I can ride anything though, I suggest using shoulder width as a rule of thumb.

i think 18 is overrated, ride whatevers comfy, 16.5 is where its at!
