Trust me we have huge rain storms and high winds alll the time since its so flat and the north has alot of older building with old designs. Are houses here are really strong. But if it was a huge snow storm we would be screwed. Plus have you never heard of Galveston TX it got hit by a hurricane and alot of the hotels on the beach survived it pretty good even though there was alot of damage. You say that now but if it hit you guys you'd be screwed. Buildings are made to withstand the weather in that area. Your buildings would be flattened since they aren't designed to withstand such fast winds and harsh rain.
It started raining a little. We might evacuate to my aunt's house in Deptford since we're in such a high-priority flood zone. If you're going to evacuate, GO BEFORE IT HITS. Those winds could flip over practically any car, and surely throw you right off the road. We're now also in a tornado warning as well.
Chances are, Center City Philly and places like NYC are most likely going to get demolished. Those skyscrapers with a million windows won't stand a chance.
But even if it did fuck us over it would still be worth seeing it and i would stay.
