me and my uncle want to start filming weddings and shit and i was wondering what would be better a hvx or a xlh1

I got myself banned.
I'd get the HVX because you can use P2 cards, theres 60P and a handful of other stuff. But with P2 cards running at like over $1000 it might not be the better deal. They both shoot 24p. The XL H1 also has a really nice lens and i heard the picture look better. Just go on google and search for HVX200 vs XL H1 and you can find alot of stuff.

For wedding though, i'd personally buy 2 Panasonic DVX100B's, get a set of wireless lavalier mics (these make wedding videos 100x better), a shotgun mic, wide angle lens, 2 nice tripods and mad tapes. And all that will probably cost you as much as it would for the HD camera.

Honestly. Who needs HD for a wedding. You watch the video once like a month afterwards then stick it in the closet for the next 20 years. I would say for a wedding having good audio is WAY more important than having HD.

It might or not be, i heard of people filming bands that did that it worked out for but other people said it ruined the video. You would have to test it first.
