I am new and need advice.

Hey everyone! I am new on the forums and to scootering in general and need some tips/help.

I basically want to take up the hobby of scootering and don't know all that much except it is fun :D

I need to buy a scooter since I don't currently have one and I need to know what to get. I have a budget of $300 and $350 at the most. I live in Australia so I a restricted to a few online stores to pick from.

These are the best online stores that I have found:

www.scooterhut.com.au

www.skaterhq.com.au

What scooter should I get? Should I build a custom one for my first scooter or just buy a pre-made scooter keeping in mind I have a budget of $300 ($350 at the max). Is it a good idea to get a good scooter first so I don't need to re-buy another scooter later or should I get a decent one and spend more money on a better one later (I also want a fairly light scooter)?

I can only do basic stuff like 180, tailwhip, drop in, go out and tailwhip out (this was all on a Razor A1 so it was pretty damn light).

I also have a skatepark near my house and people that ride scooters there.

Thanks for reading and I hope you can help me choose my first scooter.

^dude u dont need new forks if u just start riding.
i would recommend the razor ultra pro lo scooter for sure, i still ride it now!

Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone else recommend anything?

I am also a pretty small rider (160cm) so keep that in mind.

I guess you guys recommend me buying a complete scooter? Also how much do you think I should spend for my first scooter? I at least want to learn how to do a double tailwhip, 360 and some other good tricks on it before I get, or if I get another scooter anytime soon.

Also with www.scooterhut.com.au they said they will give me 25% off a custom built scooter so should I still build my own or just buy a complete one?

Thanks!

Get the razor ultra pro, great for the money and you don't need to change anything for ages. Its also pretty light, unlike the mgp.

So you guys would recommend a Razor Ultra Pro?

Do you think that it is not necassary to spend more than $150 on my first scooter?

Also are there any scooters on www.Skaterhq.com.au or www.Scooterhut.com.au that are better than the Ultra Pro for the price? I don't really want to buy new parts for my scooter if I buy a complete so I will be stuck with it for a while (until it probably lasts or until I get a lot better)?

Thanks!

Hi I would go for an grit extremist or an MGP VX2 Team Edition as they are not to much and are great scooters for the money.
