Basics like 180, tail whips, 360, barspin, manuals and airs over coping are all nice to start with :)

Hey good to see new blood starting out. =)
I couldn't really give you many tips as i haven't been in this sport for that long either. However what i have found which helps out is too always bend your knees after a trick, keep Your feet together(for some tricks), keep at tricks and never give up! But mostly just to enjoy riding as much as you can and ignore any bad things/experiences that you may come across(including on this forum).

I hope that you really enjoy riding your scooter!

Get someone decent to help you for a couple of weeks before you begin to develop your own feel, and don't get obsessed when you can't whip yet - just cool down and try other tricks. Also don't watch tons of YouTube tutorials on anything - get someone to help you or at least watch a clip of you to base advice on that.
Whereabouts are you from?

When you go to parks, respect the other sports and please don't give them a bad image.

Also 180s, half cabs, 360s, tailwhips, barspins, airs, and deck or nose grabs are good tricks to learn as a basis.

Don't push mongo. But since you're a skater you should know that. Also, don't ride just flyout.

don't heeldrag, it's a bad habit that apparently no one knows how to stop, ride what you enjoy, not what people say you should ride

good tips
- have fun
- dont blow all you money on professional parts, let your parts not necessarily break but to the point where it effects your riding from stress or so
- be cool to others but you said you use to skate so you should know some people
- make yourself a clean rider, its ok to land a trick sketchy but make sure you clean up your mess.
- Sure there is some haters but dont think of that. People will respect you if you respect them and show that you actually enjoy scootering.
-Lastly, having good style is a good way to progress but getting good is pushing yourself for something new, getting your basics dialed, and actually riding not sitting down and watching others the whole time.
