I think I figured out how to reinforce old As

I will try to get some pics up soon
OK so old As have triangular tubing under the deck..(that make sense?)
so you have to take out the plugs in the back, take out the back wheel and slide a 12/16"x12/16" "L" shaped piece of aluminum or steel into the deck and then drill holes where the axel fits in...
I really hope this makes sense
let me know if there are any flaws in these instructions(besides being completely un-understandable)

yeah the main problem most people have with old as is the dropouts breaking off where they meet the deck

haha good idea though... but it would be pretty useless... i just broke an old a not to long ago... and i had bolts protecting the drop-outs... but they still broke

what if you did what daworm said but made the aluminum pieces longer then the deck so they stuck out parallel to the dropouts, then used a bolt and washers to attach them to the rear axle
(maybe thats what he meant)
anyway ill try it out when i get home and post some pics

take square tubing or whatever and cut it to the right angle so you can weld it to the piece l shaped piece inside the scoot.
