whatsup with all of these company making new compression systems, when the current ones work just fine? i don't see any point in this, and they just seem to get weaker and weaker

SCS people have problems with the weight/price.
HIC you need special oversized bars.

I invented a Torn Scooters compression that is both light and you can use regular sized bars for.

to attract customers to increase their sales...when someone sees something that they need and works for them they will buy it.Also,more options and more stuff is compatible with one another

i dont think there is a problem with it at all.

do you want to know the solution? just keep running your current compression system and ignore the new ones.

Run ICS until you break it, buy HIC... Cost ~$30 for both OR ~$80 for a new fancy fork that will be replaced by another newer one in 7 months... Take your pick

Or buy chromo HIC bars and a chromo (not striker, no offense legs bend.) fork and never have to replace anything for months on end. (i've had my tsi fork and HIC bars for well over 8 months so far and not a single problem)

Phoenix's new compression is disgusting because it ONLY works with their forks and bars. It's completely incompatible with anything else but their parts which is the exact opposite of the SCS, which fits every fork and bar. I've never had my HIC loosen when I used proper bolts and a bit of locktite.

SCS is not heavy. If you think it's heavy you're a weight weenie, drink some milk and try some other sport like power walking.

Phoenix slim SCS is not heavy at all its like two small clamps on top of each other and at this point i would not want to run anything that has slits in bars.
Plus it takes 1 1/2 off your bars which makes it lighter, so for right now i dont think anything can beat it.
But i dont mind HIC just not for me.

SCS is the, best Im running ICS, lol but I tighten everything right, I run my strikers nawts ics and an old sz clamp and I never have to mess with it

this is kinda like the time i wish scooters were like skateboards and only needed wheels bearings trucks a deck and screws its so simple. i know these days companies are trying to get simpler but you cant beat hic scs threaded and ics. i will never use these new ideas unless the compression is simple as using paste in a headset to keep it from wobbling but the headset still moving smooth

Hahahaha, I don't have a problem with the weight of an SCS? I'm saying some people do, that's why they don't want it. In reality, HIC is almost the same weight because the tubing of the handlebars is bigger, the weight difference is barely there.
