threads on the inside, so that you dont need a starnut, just a bolt and the compression peice
He's got it.
In the top of the fork steerer tube, there's an insert with threads in the middle, for a compression bolt to thread into.
No more starnuts!
But I put my starnut in perfectly with a socket :/

doesnt that defeat the purpose of threadless though?
Doh.
The threads are in an INSERT, INSIDE the fork tube. Not on the outside.
How would it defeat the point? You need a compression system for threadless to work effectively.

I own SR.
ALL forks have and/or need threads to work properly. Some are inside, some outside. "threaded" forks have them on the outside, "threadless" forks have them on the inside.

No. PROTO compression does not work with anything... not even with other PROTO parts. Our goal is to make everything as incompatible as possible so people get confused for no reason about putting a scooter together... instead of READING.

calm the fuck down andrew. not hating or anything, but believe it or not some kids on here are actually not that old, like Tyler. alot of scooter terminology is actually somewhat confusing, even if it is a question as simple as that.
