Is it possible to do this?

Raw an anodize clamp. I am getting a lucky clamp, which I believe are anodized, and I wanted to know if it is possible to raw it and paint it another color? Or will it never come off.

EDIT: I am buying from a friend who has a purple lucky clamp so I can't choose silver.

ive heard that if you get that oven cleaner stuff it takes off the anodizing idk
ive seen people do it with bmx sprockets and cranks and stuff like that

Put the clamp in a plastic bag, with oven cleaner
let the clamp sit in there for about 5 minutes.
Take the clamp out of the bag, wipe it down, and there you go.

Oven cleaner, however be aware it reacts with aluminium so make sure to just leave it in enough to take away the anodising.
