is my deck supposed to be like this?

so my vertx has the bolt kinda out a lil, and it makes it had for some grinds, is it supposed to be like this or did they not do it right??

Yeah, because everyone have a compressor at home powerful enough to power pneumatic tools.

Get a pipe that the allen fits inside for more torque.

my dad has a full shop with like everything, i'm thinking it's just not counter sunk enough, i don't wanna torqe on it and have the bolt snap or strip the threads, but judgeing by your guy's answers this isn't supposed to be like this eh?

You can check that easily enough- just put the bolt in without the headtube part- it should sit Flush.

If not- then the Counter sink is off

If yes- then something else is causing the problem.

EDIT: needs to be counter sunk more.

You could probably grind down the bolt just enough so it doesn't mess with your grinds and you can still tighten it all the way without stripping the head.

yeah i'm gonna have to just grind the head since 1" counter sink bit for metal is like $50 :/

thats fucked up my friend has a lucky and the bolt dosent stick out at all maybe you should try shaving it down or something
