the first tricks i would learn are 180s, barspins, and tailwhips.
the next parts i would get are a magray brake, any metal core wheels( i would get blunt wheels or demon cores; they're great if you are just starting out), and any threadless sealed headset
hope this helps! just ask if you have any more questions

yeah a lot of people ride bmx here(including me), you'd be surprised.
you dont need a new fork. you can just use the locknut from your threaded compression to compress the headset with threaded forks. its called locknut compression.
and i would try to get new griptape asap too

did you get the normal rup(the one with big bars) or the rup lo(the one with smaller bars)?
what bars do you have on your bike?

1. Cut the bars down in height
2. New grips
3. New griptape
4. New Wheels
5. New headset
6. Margay brake

And learn whips, bars, 180s, 360s

this is what i would do
1.cut the bars down in height(depends on your height; if you are around 5'10" then you want to cut them to about 23")
2.new grips
3.new griptape
4.magray brake and a headest(will make your scooter much, much more dialed.
5. new wheels(if you start to get good fast you might i have to get new wheels sooner)

what i would do is save up a little over 100 and buy two new wheels(ones that are about $25), a magray brake, a heaset(i would go with the district sealed headset), new grips, new griptape, and some paint to paint all your parts
this is what i did. it feels like getting a whole new scooter. trust me, you will love it.

If your bars are shorter your deck will last longer/not snap as fast because they aren't putting as much force on the headtube.
