smaller kids usually mean younger kids, and they're probably more likely to want in on a trend, so they get 20 wides.

and i'd like to see anybody do a fakie scooter fakie barspin with wide bars.

tyler atkins used to have like 19 wide and sitll did them. hes a crazy fucker tho so eh haha

i ride 13.5 wide, im going to move up to like 14 or 15 sooner or later, but i highly doubt ill ever go biger then tthat, ever. i cant see why peopel are into a 'trend' of this shit though, i mean yeah some peeps ride it cause it feels good ro wahtever but it gets to the point where its jes rediculas, i mean, like if stock bars came 15 wide i would be cuting them down rarther then doing all this wide bars shit. but thats my oppinoin so yee

i have 18 wide 19 tall and im a smaller person. i like the feeling of the wide bars. they make whips, tuck no handers, sliders, and fakies. easier for me. but thats just my opinion. sometimes i get sick of em and swich back to my stock bars.

oh hahaha ffukk yea duude i hella saw em do that shiet

i will barspin any gap i can jump doe :)

yea but that doesn't count cause you're actually GOOD with wide bars, they completely match your bmx style. same thing with a few people, like alex steadman. you guys have decided how you want to ride and your scooter matches that, there's nothing wrong there.

but i think all the little kids that want to run around with their 490 wide, cause they see people like stan or alex, is just dumb. if i remember, stan and alex both evolved into those wider bars. like they both started with stocks, and they just kept running wider and wider bars as their style became more developed. idk maybe i'm on the wrong track but thats just my opinion

your right, i remember stan would just keep posting his scooter, and each time he'd have bigger bars. i remember him with 17s lolol. same with alex, he has footy with him riding the 15 wides.

I started stock, thought it was gay, and went to 16's because stocks were gay. imo I think 16's are the ABSOLUTELY SMALLEST that anyone should ever have their bars. Now I'm at 18's, and I like them very much, but if I ever make a new set of bars or get some, I might up it to 19 or 20. For me personally, the lowest I'd go is 18 and highest is probably about 20, anywhere over that and barspins would hit me in the leg most likely.

My wide bar story:

I rode stocks for soo long. Short bars, really low. Probably 17 high. Well three years ago, I was diagnosed with a cyst (I tiny sack of fluid) that was growing next to my spine. It never hurt, unless I was bent out for a long period of time (scootering). It would touch the nerves surrounding my spine and it would kill. So...I decided to make my bars higher..about 20 high. But, as this started to progress (and about the same time I found SR) I found that having my shoulders hunched in (small bars) triggered the pain aswell. So..I made my bars wider. I made them 15 wide, than 17 wide, than finally 18 wide. And..well...In about 6 months I learned how to air way higher, invert, turndown, and lookback. I lost...triplewhips, doublewhips flat, barspins over stuff, 180 bars, basically all bar combos, truckdrivers, full cabs, etc. It's been about 6 months after that and My back has seemed to settled. So...I cut my bars width to 16 wide. (I still ride 22 high though) And i've got to say...I LOVE THEM. Barspins are so much easier. Everythings is easier!

So yea. I ride medium bars. 16 wide is where I like them. Definitely my favorite width so far.
