Envy scooters :

"After parting ways with Phoenix, we have decided to make Jake Clark the newest addition to the USA Pro team. Jake is a great guy on and off his scooter and we are more than happy to say he is now a member of Envy Scooters USA. Welcome to the team Jake!"

this could be a good thing, being that theres blunt teams in different countrys. blunt might support jake in travaling out of the usa to ride.

i think jake has a good rep also with blunt because he was in the flavormedia edit with micheal. another reason why they probley wanted him on thete team

First - Jake is my friend and he resigned from Phoenix in a very professional manner. I will miss him but also look forward to watching his progression. The Phoenix team has gotten too big and this will ultimately allow us to do more for our core riders like Dan, Jon, Raymond, Stan & Cooper.

Second - Hunter, don't be dumb. What went down with me and Gary did not happen over a text. AND, i was not at Woodward.

how can you sleep at night charging children over $200 for a scooter deck you crook?

Very off topic post, but also very uneducated and childish.

There is a lot of R&D time, tooling costs and then actual production costs that are higher for a US made deck compared to a chinese produced one. For comparison, check out some other US deck companies prices...

http://www.luckyscoot.com/scooter-decks/lucky-evo2-deck-package/ Lucky, $229.95

http://ridezg.com/shop-2/decks/new-zg-deck/ ZG, $239.95

http://www.titetoyz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=163_211&products_id=1477 TSI, $199.95

Not that bad eh?

Back on topic, best of luck with your move Jake. No need for any of this to become unprofessional as it seems both Tom and Jake handled the move great :)

Wow. Jake Clark was one of my favorite riders ever. Now idk, phoenix was a good team and now they're losing riders, intentionally. I talked to jeremy at epic and he said that they were making the team smaller.

No, I agree with this Brench fellow, those decks cost little to produce, compared to proto and TSI, they're ripping people the fuck off, thats why I hate non-rider owned companies. I don't know about the reventons, but I know original phoenix standards cost about 7$ for each extursion, and probably another 10 more for the headtube, plus 60$ and hour for a profesional welder, who can probably make about 10 decks an hour. so we're gonna say like 30$ max to make a deck thats sold for about 120$ to retailers.
My math and stats are probably a little off, but you get the idea.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Extrusion, Machining, Welding, Heat Treating, Anodizing, Laser Engraving.... All made here in our little shop in Beaverton, Oregon. We aren't ripping anyone off, trust me. AND....who is supporting their riders, paying salaries, travel, entry fees, supporting new magazines with advertising dollars, etc.... WE ARE! I will never apologize for running a profitable business with which i re-invest in this sport. I plan to be here a long, long time broski!
