good to see someone else's opinion. I like it, I'll take it into consideration, even though I'll still have my views.

Parrish i have a feeling your math is a little bit off haha. It costs $41 to make a pair of proto wheels or something like that!

Yes.
And they sell them in bulk for like, 60$ a pair, them retailers sell them at 80.

Oh, we're trying to be all un-opinionated and be on everyones side and make peace now?
I'll put some thought into that, might be fun.

No, I agree with this Brench fellow, those decks cost little to produce, compared to proto and TSI, they're ripping people the fuck off, thats why I hate non-rider owned companies. I don't know about the reventons, but I know original phoenix standards cost about 7$ for each extursion, and probably another 10 more for the headtube, plus 60$ and hour for a profesional welder, who can probably make about 10 decks an hour. so we're gonna say like 30$ max to make a deck thats sold for about 120$ to retailers.
My math and stats are probably a little off, but you get the idea.

As someone who has been involved in the production of decks in the past, and worked with numerous deck/bar companies I can sincerely say, you do not know what you're talking about. Rather than continue with uneducated rabble, it's probably best to just stay out of it.

Parrish, shutup and quit sidetracking this thread.

As long as a rider is satisfied with the company they ride for, why should anyone else have any opinion on it? They arent the ones who have to deal with the decision.

Parrish, Dude, please just stop. You're making a fool out of yourself.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Extrusion, Machining, Welding, Heat Treating, Anodizing, Laser Engraving.... All made here in our little shop in Beaverton, Oregon. We aren't ripping anyone off, trust me. AND....who is supporting their riders, paying salaries, travel, entry fees, supporting new magazines with advertising dollars, etc.... WE ARE! I will never apologize for running a profitable business with which i re-invest in this sport. I plan to be here a long, long time broski!

Don't forget. Phoenix is American-made. Not only will that almost guarantee a higher quality, but it will boost a price considerably.
The District dk2-i is produced in China (I am almoay aure of it) with little to no machining, plus they are painted, not anodized. There is no laser etching, either, but those fancy water stickers. It shouldn't be surprising how much the Reventon costs.

Wow. Jake Clark was one of my favorite riders ever. Now idk, phoenix was a good team and now they're losing riders, intentionally. I talked to jeremy at epic and he said that they were making the team smaller.

hes still going to be good just on a new team
