probably gonna be my favorite movie of the year. james cameron has been working on this bad boy for quite some time, and it has a great blend of fantastic writing/directing with fantastic acting, so i have very high expectations.

yeah i predict itll be like
man goes to alien planet>man falls in love with alien>they love is forbidden>eventually, man and alien fight>good men and aliens live, bad men die>end

all tied together with mind blowing visuals.

i saw this last night, and frankly, it didnt live up to my expectations. having over a decade to work on this, it should have been an absolute masterpiece, and one of the greatest, if not The Greates sci-fi flick ever. sadly, that was not the case.

the visuals were epic. i'll give it that. the first 90 minutes were james cameron flaunting the fact that he made the most visually pleasing movie in history.

but the last ~65 minutes or so consisted of predictable story lines.

the characters were recycled, (especially the hardass army general)
and the dialogue was stale.

if this was done in another media, say, 2D cartoon, it would be a decent movie at best. the mind-blowing graphics barely made up for the subpar writing and acting.

overall, if youre looking for a fun time at the movies, go see this. but dont expect an all-around knockout film.

I got myself banned.
i found it pretty gay he fell in love with a damn alien and stayed there. fuck that. grafics were sick though. but the story line was "kiddish"

way to completely miss the point of the movie man.

yes, the story is a bit cliche (basically the same as Pocahontas and dances with wolves) but it's pretty relevant to the world today, especially the way the united states treats foreign nations.

awesome movie, awesome graphics, awesome story.

go see it.
