JD Bug Pro Extreme

Sorry. Im a dad, and highly uncool!!!! I got my son a JD Bug Extreme scooter for christmas with standard wheels. As I suppose is always the case my son wants to upgrade his wheels to keep up with his mates. What are the benefits of this?? Which would be the best to go for? What spec should I be looking for? Sorry for the barrage of questions, I just know nothing about these, and desperately want to look like a cool dad to my son and his mates!!!!
Any help would be massively appreciated

Eagle is a widely popular brand that makes fairly dependable wheels at a reasonable price.
They've been in the roller-ski industry for around 15 years (+ / -) so they have plenty of knowledge about the wheel making industry.
Generally your upgrade gets you a far better (more life, speed and quite a bit softer) compound urethane and a metal core. The metal core basically stops all instances of spokes breaking, and alot of dehubbing problems.
ALOT of riders swear by Eagles, as they're pretty widely available and quality.
I'm not sure where you're from, but Australian price is around $42 a wheel for your standard colour / 100mm / silver core wheel.
All that being said, depending on your son's level of knowledge / riding, you might be safe with a set of 'eBay metalcores' for the time being. If he's been riding a while / knows a bit about the sport, and you want to be the hip and trendy father getting him the good gear, go Eagle.

if your son only like riding at the skatepark then eagles would be a good choice if not i would get him blunt or proto wheels i they are about 40 bucks each and he will be happy with them
